6th Street Viaduct Construction - Photo Essay

The Los Angeles Times captures the construction of the new 6th Street Viaduct in Los Angeles. The original bridge, demolished in 2016, was an iconic landmark in Los Angeles. GPA Consulting captured the bridge's history in an award-winning documentary, "Bridging Los Angeles," and in a companion coffee table book of the same title.

Caltrans, Conservationists on Track to Break Ground for 101 Freeway Wildlife Crossing

In an effort to fend off the extinction of mountain lions and other species that call Los Angeles County home, the California Department of Transportation with the aide of conservationists and private and public funds are on track to break ground on a wildlife bridge over the 101 Freeway in Agoura Hills. The bridge will allow the movement of wildlife that are essentially trapped by human sprawl.

Camarillo begins Pleasant Valley Road bike lane extension

The Camarillo City Council voted to move forward with the city's Pleasant Valley Road bike lane expansion project, extending bike lanes from Las Posas Road to Fifth Street. GPA Consulting will provide environmental assessment and impact studies for the project.

LA Conservancy Announces 2019 Preservation Awards

The Los Angeles Conservancy recently selected the Google Playa Vista project as one of eight recipients of a 2019 Preservation Award. GPA Consulting served as the Historic Preservation Consultant, assisting the project team with a Historic Resource Treatment Plan for the redevelopment of the Hughes Industrial Historic District.
